A Family Visit and the Carmel Farmers Market - 09.14.2013

Better late than never, right?!  When my parents came for their last visit in the middle of September, the weather was much cooler than it had been and we took that opportunity to actually embrace the cooler weather and make a trip out to the Carmel Farmers Market. We have been a couple of times over the summer so far but my parents haven't been in years.

My parents had gotten in pretty late the night before so they stayed with Ally and met us there bright and early in the (chilly) morning.  We had such a wonderful Saturday so I'll let the photos do most of the talking!

Here are my boys.  Just hanging out and waiting for "Nonnie-Poppie!"

Look at that face as he looks up and realizes who's there!  He was SO excited.

Saturday night we had our first chili dinner of the fall season.  It was delicious and nice to sit around the table with more than just the three of us.  The boys spent the rest of the evening relaxing and watching the new Star Trek movie while Mom and I played beauty shop (thanks to Sally Beauty Supply!) and then all of us went to bed.  The next morning, Todd ran out for Jack's Donuts so we all could have an obviously super nutritional breakfast.  Needless to say, the donuts were delightful.
Soon after breakfast it was time to say our goodbyes.  No one likes that part. Luckily, we knew that in about 4 weeks everyone would be back for the birthday party so it was more of a "see you later!" than a goodbye.  After everyone left and the house was quiet, my little man and I enjoyed some cuddle time on the couch.  I hate it when that happens. ;)

It was such a good weekend.  We just eat it up when our family comes to visit.  And in just over a week, even more family will be here and there are many, many more memories to be made!
